Origami paper and accessories from Amazon
Hi all,
I was using Amazon to find paper and I thought we could collaborate sharing links. Links to origami accessories would be appreciated too. Off course you can find many options in Origami Shop If you add a link, please say whether you have used the item and perhaps share with us your experiences.
Paper
I was planning to buy some mulberry paper and I found
this. 9 x 12 inches (22.9 x 20.5 cm). Perhaps a bit small.
I am planning to buy non-bleeding tissue paper and I found this one. I did ask previous buyers and one of them tried whether it was non-bleeding. He said that it is mostly non-bleeding. Do you have a brand you trust?
Steingar uses 15 x 15 cm (6 x 6 inches) Aitoh paper.
Accessories
Methocel. Pure methylcellulose. I do use it to treat paper.
Elmer's methylcellulose. Baltorigamist uses it.
Lyneco methylcellulose. OrigamiasaEnthusiast used it.

I use Elmer's Art Paste for methylcellulose. It's always worked pretty well for me, and it's cheaper than pure MC.

Unfortunately, I don't think Amazon sells large sheets of mulberry paper (at least on the American side).

Fantastic! Let's see whether we could build a good list of resources.
Regarding Elmer's glue, I have been confused for quite until I realized that Elmer's refers to various products. The one you buy is (or contains) methylcellulose but other types contain Polyvinyl acetate (PVA) or other glues.
By the way, have you tried other papers from Amazon?

No, I haven't.
I know they sell large-size tissue paper, but I haven't had the chance to try it yet.

The only other paper I have tried from amazon is Kami.

I bought Aitoh Origami paper from Amazon and liked it quite a bit, but now it isn't available. I went ahead and got the Taro stuff, but I'm not as impressed.OrigamiasaEnthusiast wrote:The only other paper I have tried from amazon is Kami.

There is also "kraft paper" on amazon, but it doesn't look like normal kraft and is colored, also has a weird texture appearance-I'll edit it later when I find it-

I mostly use the 6 inch (US measure, about 15cm). I keep a supply of it around.Origami_Hunt wrote:Hi Steingar. Wich size did you buy? There are a few options available, at least in http://www.amazon.co.uk.I bought Aitoh Origami paper from Amazon and liked it quite a bit, but now it isn't available.

The Aitoh was what I wanted, though I wound up with some else. It is back, I had no idea that would be the case or I'd have waited. The stuff I have is a bit waxier, though it will work fine for my purposes.Origami_Hunt wrote:Hi Steingar,
is the paper you buy any of these (amazon.co.uk) or these (amazon.com)?

I have This brand of methyl cellulose, and the tissue brand is the only large size I could find easily-believe me, I've tried.

Oops. I forgot to mention it. The one Balto uses, I haven't tried it yet though, only was looking.
