Rebecca Gieseking
Hi all! I finally decided to start my own topic for my models. Unless otherwise specified, everything here is my own design. I typically fold from rectangles, using a ruler extensively to find reference points, and use a combination of wet-folding and glue to keep the paper in the correct shape. I would love to hear any feedback/criticism/other comments you have!
Test fold: Oval. Folded from a rectangle of Elephant Hide. Read more about this piece on my website at http://rebecca.gieseking.us/2013/07/test-model-oval/.

Very interesting models you have there on your homepage. I'm looking forward to your future models.

This is not a new model, but I finally drew the crease pattern for it.

Re: Rebecca Gieseking
Do you by any chance sell your models? They look as if they could be sold easily.

Re: Rebecca Gieseking
Thanks so much! I haven't actually sold any yet, but I've been pursuing various art opportunities and have pieces on display with a local artists' association. I have an art background (as well as a science background), so creating something that has those artistic qualities is a very high priority for me.

These test models are a follow-up to my previous diagonal shift work, with some simplifications and changes to the design and folding process. Read more about these models on my website at http://rebecca.gieseking.us/2013/08/tes ... ft-part-2/

Your works are very innovative! I love your use of curves! How long have you been folding?

Re: Rebecca Gieseking
Thanks so much! I've been folding sporadically since I was in preschool, but I started working in this style and designing my own models just over two years ago.
